Build Menu:

The build menu has a main category screen that is separated into the following sections: Smurfs, Decorations, Featured, and Resources. Tapping on a main category will bring you into a sub-category view or an item detailed view. The Smurfs and Decorations sections will have sub-categories. Smurfs subcategories include: Huts, Farming, Structures, and Speacialty Smurfs, Customizations (available after placing Handy Workshop) and Animals. Specialty Smurfs sub-categories include: Hats, Circus Items, Paint, Airplanes, Cowboy Smurf, Wooly Smurf. Each mushroom house will add one Smurf to your population, but can be upgraded after building Handy Smurf's workshop (tap a house to see if it can be upgraded, and how much it will cost). Decorations sub-categories include: Pathways, Flags & Signs, Greenery, Garden, Furniture, and Lights.

The item details view will have a scrollable list of items on the right side of the screen and a more detailed view of an item on the left side of the screen. Tapping on an item on the right will update the information on the left side of the screen. Scroll up to view more items. Item details will include: item name, description, build time, XP when placed, XP earned on a collection cycle, coins earned on a collection cycle and cost.

Some menu items may be transparent due to a lack of gold, lack of available Smurfs, or because it requires a higher level. Each one will specify the length of time it will take one Smurf to build it (without the aid of Smurfberries).

Move Mode:

Tap the Move button on the main screen in the build menu (located at the top of the screen) to move objects in the village that have already been placed. Tap and hold objects to move them around, rotate them, or delete them entirely. This can include both objects and buildings you've added yourself, or objects such as bushes or flowers that might be in the way. Tapping the house icon in the bottom-left of Move Mode allows you to temporarily hide foreground objects, so that paths you've placed under buildings can be moved more easily. Tap the blue check mark to place an object. Tap the sign in the lower right again to exit Move Mode. If you have the Exchange Machine, you can also sell coin based items in Move Mode.
